We are a private design firm specializing in custom hand embroidery and beading. With bases in both New York and India, we have unlimited access to both modern and traditional techniques of embroidery, beadwork, and fabric manipulation. Our diverse team comprised of the most skillful artisans is constantly experimenting and innovating with new and unique materials and fabrics from all over.

Nita Shah was born in Delhi, India. Most of her childhood was spent at a boarding school in Mussoorie, a hill station at the foot of the Himalayas. She spent her formative years immersed in nature, surrounded by breathtaking beauty – the clear blue skies, warm sunshine and snowcapped mountains of the Himalayas became the backdrop of her imagination. Creativity sparked early on, and though never formally trained, her innate sense of all things beautiful and her spirituality allowed her to develop a distinctive eye which has stuck with her.
She began Aditiany a little over 25 years ago on a mission to bring the finest hand embroidery from the most skilled artisans in her home country of India to the fashion world at large. Having worked with many renowned designers in Europe and the US, Aditiany Inc. soon developed a collection of some of the most exquisite hand embroideries in the world. Eventually, she added to her repertoire by delving into the world of interiors and began working with some of the great interior decorators of our time on some truly inspiring projects. It has been a fun, creative and productive journey so far and the future is limitless.
